Nayli's big day.

Nayli completed reading the whole Quran for the first time, sometime in June. My mother decided to throw her a mini kenduri as a celebration of this momentous event. To coincide with the end of my confinement, it was held a week after my confinement ended, which was on the 13th July. I had nothing to do with the preparation of this kenduri whatsoever, other then providing one miserable dish, which is my baked pasta. It turned out to be quite major. Most of the guests were our relatives and a few neighbours around my mother's house. It was like other khatam Quran event, Nayli and a few others read passages from the Quran, and at then end an Ustazah, recited a simple doa. However, that was not it. My mother had other things planned. There was a treasure hunt for the kids, and some simple games. The food was great of course.

Check out the Hijab.

Reciting of some short verses from the Quran.

The must have Yellow Rice a.k.a Pulut Kuning.

Games and gifts. Grandma save one big hamper
for the girl on her big day.

Mom and Baby Zaim, not missing the big event.

One of the games was to guess the amount of balls in this bag.

The counting.

Tellying up the marks.

End of my confinement period!

Finally! I thought the day would never come. However, my 42nd day came 2 days to late. I actually had to miss Zarif's Sports day because it was just my 41st day! Good thing, Jack managed to get some good shots of the event.

It was held on July 5th at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil. The whole CEC group of kindies in the whole Klang Valley were there, quite Major huh! According to the dad and sis, it was quite difficult to make out which one of the kids, who were all dressed alike were Zarif. Thank god, he had quite distinctive shoes so that was how he was spotted!

In the front!

Getting ready.

And he's off!

Drop or Pick up something... I'm not sure

Back to the starting point! Look the kid in the
other group is just half way to the 1st point.

Everyone gets a medal! Yippee!

With the proud Sis!
Now, back to my end of confinement story, before that here is how Zaim looked like on his 42nd day, side profile.

The very next day, day 43, we had some Dr appointments lined up. I had to see my Gynea and Zaim had to get his Rotavirus dose. So off we went the whole gang of us, even the brother and sis. I thought since I am seeing the Pead, might as well take the older kids for their Flu Shots.

Zaim's first car ride.

At the Dr.'s, and he isn't smiling there.

Brother and Sister watching closely.

After the appointment, we went to KLCC for lunch. I mean come on, I missed that place! Plus, I had to get some things. As always.

He slept all the way through the Dim Sum courses.

By 4p.m he was getting restless and had to be held.

Until his next outing.
