In case you are wondering.

Since I am at home 24hrs a day, for 6 weeks in a row, you must be wondering just how much tv do I watch daily? Not much. Honestly.

Ok, I get up at about 6.45 a.m or so, when my alarm goes off and normally I would be feeding Zaim trying desperately to put him back to sleep so that I could take a bath and have breakfast. Of course, easier said then done. On a good day, I can get in the shower at about 7.30 earliest. Ready for breakfast by 8, so that's when I would always always always try to not miss, Chef at Home (Chef: Michael Smith), not to be confused with Take Home Chef (Chef: Curtis Stone) at 8 a.m every weekday.

I love watching this show because I just love watching cook shows, I love his cooking utensils, the way he cooks and most of all I absolutely lurve looking at his well stocked pantry oh, and his Kitchen Aid cake mixer!!! After this show which ends at 8.30a.m I would usually bathe the baby. Then by the time he is ready for the next feeding I am ready to watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This woman is hilarious. I love her show.

My next must see show slot is at 12p.m which is The Daily Cooks with BBC Celebrity Chef Antony Worall Thompson. He invites 3 different chefs daily presenting a variety of dishes all in a half an hour slot. Interesting!

Between 12.30 - 6.00 p.m, I don't have any must see shows. It all depends on whether or not I want to take a nap, and whether or not there is anything worth watching. Sometimes, I would end up watching the soppy movies on Hallmark Channel. Yes, I must admit that I have seen quite a number already. Ha!ha! what can I say. I know I am supposed to be catching up on my sleep so that I will not be that tired and zonked out at night when Zaim wakes up for his feeds and nappy change, but sometimes, you just cannot sleep. SOMETIMES!

The next show that I would watch is at 6.30p.m which is Life with Bonnie, followed by Scrubs at 7.00p.m and According to Jim at 7.30p.m. Sad huh? I'm actually watching James Belushi... daily!!! And I am also watching endless episodes of Friends whenever I have nothing else to watch and it happens to be on at StarWorld.

That's it really. Oh but of course endless of E! Channel news sporadically!!!

Happy Birthday Pat!

Yesterday was also, Pat's birthday! Happy Birthday woman. Many happy returns of the day. I have known this woman since like forever! I think we started to really realy clicked over Breathe's "Hands to Heaven" and "How Can I Fall". If any of you out there don't know what I am talking about... Well never mind!!! Anyhow, that was probably way back in 1988, back when we were in Form 2, at the Prefect's Corner near the Canteen. Congratulations also on your pregnancy!!! Hopefully it's a boy. Happy Birthday to a wonderful friend, thanks for being around all these years, you are such a great friend, and thank you for taking the trouble to keep our friendship alive all these years. If it were up to me... puh... not a chance. Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. Pressies and meal will have to wait till I am done with my confinement.

from our Acquaria trip with the kids way back in 2006, gosh that was so long ago!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary my hubby, my friend, my all.
Thanks for being a great partner for these past 8 years.
May there me many many more great years ahead.
I love you.

My baby is growing before my eyes!

The last time the nurse came, Zaim was weighed. That was on the 11th June, 16th day. He has already put on weight. Zaim was already 3.5kg. Alhamdulillah! He is growing well. Though he still cries when he is being bathed, so unlike the sister and brother. Now he likes to sleep with both his arms up. Just like Zarif before.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my hubby. We didn't do much, I helped the kids make a card for their Papa. He left home pretty early in the morning to settle the Aqiqah for Zarif with my father and brother in Batu Arang. Thought of making him one of his favourite dishes tonight, Shepard's Pie a.k.a Potato Pie, but then the Aqiqah meat are being cooked by a caterer so we are having that tonight. Will make them tomorrow. After all tomorrow is another special day! If only we could go out! I am so dying for a Teez Freez from SF or Frosty Lemon Tea from Delicious!!!

Anyhow, Happy Father's Day Yang, you are a great dad.

Nayli's 7th Birthday

8th June was Nayli's birthday. Just a simple small celebration this year well, because Mama just had baby Zaim so Mama has to stay home for 42 days, to rest and recover. So, it was just a simple cake for Nayli this year and Mc D's, with her cousins, grandparents and uncle and of course family. Happy 7th Birthday girl, we all love you.

My first week at home in confinement.

We came home from the hospital on the 3rd day that was a Wednesday. Immediately the day after, my 7 day ritual starts:
7.00 - 8.30 : wake up - try to make sure that Zaim is changed and fed and goes to a deep deep slumber, at least until my mother arrives - I have a quick bath, for this week, it is still with some tea bag from Nona Roguy, then after my makcik urut had brought some leaves, that were washed and boiled, and the water is then also added to my bath water - then it is breakfast, just a quick one, normally a mug of hot milo and two pieces of toasts
8.30 - 10.00 : around this time, Jack would have fetched my makcik urut, so it is bertungku first ( hot stone theraphy thingy) then massage, oooh! lovely jubilee!
10.00 - 11.30: for the 1st 3 days at home, the home nursing staff from Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital comes over to check on baby, gives him a bath and checks on me. Then onwards, she comes in another 4 days but on alternate days so that by the time it is the last (7th day), Zaim would already be exactly 2 weeks old and hopefully like Zarif before, by then his cord would have come off and his circumsicion wound would have healed too
11.30 - 11.45: quick lunch and feed the baby again
12 ish - 4.30: feed baby, try to nap a little, feed baby again, change if he needs changing, watch a bit of day time tv, try to nap again if I could, and all this while also entertaining/ attending to any questions/squabbles from the other two kids.
4.30 - 6.00 : depending on whether, Zaim's diapers is highly soiled, then I will give him a change, a quick top and tail bath, freshen him up a bit, to prepare him for night time - feed him again and try to get him to fall into another solid at least half an hour deep sleep so that I too could freshen up and change
6.00-6.30 : dinner time for me
7.00-7.30: quite time with baby while tuning on channel 106 for some spiritual moment
7.30 onwards: if there is anything worth watching on tv, I'd watch otherwise, I'd try to sleep early as soon as Zaim sleeps just in case he wakes up for regular night time feedings
and the whole cycle begins again the next morning.
except for today at this instant that I am updating this entry it is 2.30 p.m just had mu lunch about an hour ago, and Zaim thank goodness is sleeping soundly, so I managed to update this very quickly.I better stop now and update some pictures before he wakes up and demands to be fed.

bath time

Zaim hates to be exposed - loves being swaddled

all done!
