PGMtM III

As expected PGMtM Season III was superb!!! Nayli enjoyed every minute of it. So did I actually. All the new touches were excellent. The props, the musical score, the scenes, the "special-effects" all worked out well. I'm glad I managed to catch this season 3. My only and deepest regret is that I forgot to bring my camera. Can you believe it??? I was soo upset, I guess, it's because I didn't plan to wait for the autograph session, but then again, it really is so not me to have forgotten my camera. Anyhow, managed some blurry pics from my camera phone, for remembrance sake. We were there, my girl and I.

Should I or should I not???

Oooooh I have been wanting to get this thing like forever. Now, I don't think I can stand it any longer. I am not talking about an LV handbag, or even a Tod's!!! What could I want more than those, right? Well many things like perhaps a tennis bracelet, a whole set of new wardrobe,a Kitchen Aid Mixer, a Golf GTI to name a few!!!! Ok, serious (not that I seriously do not want all those things mentioned) back to my dilemma. I want a DSLR and I want it now. Especially afterour Photography Club Meeting yesterday at lunch, since on the 5th next month, we will be having an outdoor outing to KLCC, and so we are supposed to bring our equipment. I want my own...

Nikon D60

large LCD screen too!

You see, my love (if you can call it that) for photography and cameras started even before the digital era. I got my first SLR camera when I was 15, as a gift for acing my SRP,cewah (thank god, I didn't wait for SPM results he!he!). Anyhow, this is my first baby.

This is my trusted camera that I lugged with me during my years of study in the UK too. Everytime I went travelling, I would carry two sets of camera, my T50 and another simple point and shoot compact. I still need the compact you see, because as much as I love to be behind the camera, I am a self-confessed camera "whore". Each time I passed my T50 to someone else, in order to be in the shot, I would always end up dissapointed. It was much worse then when we had to use up the whole roll of film before we could see how the photos turn out. I would have lovely pictures of everybody, but blurred and lousy shots of me!!! I remember getting some really good lucky shots with my T50, I must ransack the albums at my mom's to find some good pictures and perhaps scan them or something as a testimonial of my "seriousness" in giving photography a shot (ha!ha! good one eh, photography a shot! get it? oh never mind), back then.

Somehow, when I came back from my studies, this "hobby" was given a backseat, dunno why. Perhaps I didn't want to fork out any money for films and processing. Then I got married, had kids, busy with kids etc etc etc I dunno. Then it was the digital age. I purchased my first digital camera when I was pregnant with my second child. It was still quite expensive to get it much earlier. Now that DSLR has become more accessible I think I should pick up photography again. Plus, I have been with the Photography Club in my office ever since I was pregnant with Zaim. So it would be nice to put into use some of the tips that I have been hearing from the Pros here in the office. Now it is also much easier to store and share photos online, no costs for processing required unless I want to start a photobook, now that's a different story altogether.
So, should I??? I do have some savings left!!! I am going for a trip this March.

PGL the musical.

I will be going to the Puteri Gunung Ledang the musical tomorrow. Can't wait. Even though I have seen it twice already during the 1st season. This time I am going with Nayli. She is already 8 so she is allowed in the theater. She has been curious about the musical ever since I went to the first show, and brought back the programme book and bought the CD, coffee mug and T-shirt! Ha!ha! Yes, I am a fan of musicals. The shopaholic that I am, I would always make sure that I come home with something after watching a musical. Tomorrow would be awesome, just the two of us. The boys (Dad and Zarif) will be hanging out together doing their own thing while waiting for us. Poor little Zaim, well 8:30 p.m is already bedtime my dear, hope he has no problem sleeping without me tomorrow night.

Birthday Weekend

Last Saturday was Valentine's Day, a very busy day. Zaim had his checkup at the Paed and we have a birthday party invitation. It was Nadd's children's party. Nadd is an ex-colleague from my days in Boustead about 9 years ago. It was both Qistina's (3) and Rayyan's (1) birthday. My kids love attending birthday parties, as much as I love taking them to one. I didn't bring my camera because I thought I would have my hands full with Zaim. Sure enough I did, though I still couldn’t resist snapping some pictures with my camera phone.

Qistina - puffing away.

Little Rayyan.

Zaim's first experience on a rocking horse,

treated it like a bouncer though!

In the ball pool with Sis.

Oh oh, I think I'm falling!!!

from the official photog.

Oh, what's swallowing me?

The next day, on Sunday the 15th, was Zarif's long awaited birthday. We did not throw a party for him, much to his dissapointment, though we try to make up to him in many ways thoroughout the day as you shall see here. First and foremost, of course a Ben 10 cake, (Thank you SR for launching this on time!!! He has been wanting a Ben 10 Birthday Cake since his last 4 year old birthday.) After much deliberation, he decided on HeatBlast!!!

Check out the matching Alien Changer, Omnitrix thingy!!!

Happy Birthday to you!!

At long last, he was presented with his birthday gift!

Just couldn't contain his excitement.

Even tearing off the wrapper is quite a task.

Walah! Finally! Ben 10 Wild Mutt Ultimate Base Station Kit. Quite an awesome thing, even the dad was having difficulty holding on to the secret for 2 nights. Zarif was like, wow! where did you find this thing, I have never seen it before!

Woooo!!!!

Testing!

Kakak I'm here under the stairs Roger!

Only after he has seen and tried out his presents, he remembered to try his cake.

So, the celebration didn't end there. After having his favourite meal for breakfast which was half-bolied egg and snipped toasts, he had his cake and presents. Then we went out for a birthday lunch, quite a late lunch, at a place of his choice (even though, it was kind of a guided choice, he!he!). Delicious at BVII.

The thing with Delicious is that it really depends on your luck about which table you'd get each time you go there. We were lucky as we got the end table, so we got the whole L- shaped end of the cushiony sofa. So that's lovely, with Zaim and his stroller and all.

While waiting for the food, we could not resist taking some pics.

I can't rotate this pic! I have tried, keep coming out like this! Anyhow, you are looking at the Garden Salad, Calamari and the Seriously Delicious Cheeseburger, which happens to be the name in the menu! We had some mushrooms too, but it came a little later.

Enjoying their food.

We took turns holding Zaim.

Chocolicious Sundae

Salivating for their dessert, the Chocolicious Sundae and the Berilicious Chocolate Pavlova.

Finally Zaim fell asleep in time for me to enjoy dessert. Yum!

Dessert done! Now, these two kids are so so high on sugar, they became so hyper!

As promised we then send them off to Kids Sport to work off some of those excess sugar.

After an hour, I had to call it a day!

Birthday Boy, he had a blast after all even without a birthday party! My 5 year old boy!
