In memory of MJ, Gone too soon...

We are still in mourning, hubby and I. Managed to catch the memorial service repeat last night on Channel V. I was moved to tears, I actually couldn’t control my tears. Sobbing away till my head ached!!! Honestly!

I cried when this guy said to the kids how their father was not a strange man, it was how people treated him that was strange!! How true!!

The best was of course Brooke Shield's eulogy. I quote from the web here: In her moving tribute to her friend, entertainer Michael Jackson, at the Michael Jackson Memorial in Los Angeles on July 7, 2009, actor Brooke Shields quoted from the novel The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Expurey. After saying that Michael Jackson was often referred to as "the King," she indicated that what he reminded her of was The Little Prince. Here is the passage she read from the novel:

"What moves me so deeply, about this sleeping prince...is his loyalty to a flower--the image of a rose shining within him like a flame within a lamp, even when he's asleep. And I realized he was even more fragile than I had thought. Lamps must be protected. A gust of wind can blow them out."

Isn't this so true??? I think so. Sob! Sob!!

She continued reading from the story a bit later in her remarks:

"Eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart. What's most important is invisible."
She said that her friend, Michael Jackson, always looked at everything with his heart.

For those out there who might be interested in reading the book and/or watching a version of the story in movie form, The Little Prince has been adapted to film. A
live-action film was released in 1974 directed by Stanley Donen. An animated TV series also exists; its pilot aired in 1982.

Even Usher had difficulty singing Gone too Soon...

After the memorial service, we also managed to catch on MTV, MTV presents Michael Jackson: The King of Pop, which featured all his music videos from his debut till his final concert. That guy was brilliant right till his last day on earth.

He is THE Artist of the Millennium and he is Gone too Soon. Love you MJ and I know God must Love you more. God Bless!

Like A Comet
Blazing 'Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon
Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon
Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon
Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon
Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon
Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon
Gone Too Soon
