Weekend Wedding Part 1

Last weekend, we witnessed the momentous
& joyous wedding of Fikri and Syazwanie.

Fikri or fondly known as Iki is Jack's cousin. On Friday was the akad nikah, which was held in Cheras, at the Masjid Alam Damai. Let's start from the beginning. We arrived in the nick of time, about half an hour later than the scheduled time.

Luckily, when we arrived, the groom was just about to take his place, in the mosque before the akad nikah ceremony.

Settling down.

The bride's turn to take her place.

All settled and ready, waiting for the big moment.

Wonder what's going on in her mind at the moment.

Practise, steady Iki!

The father of the bride, hmm good luck Iki, he looks pretty fierce to me!
Ha!ha! Sorry uncle, just joking!

The real thing! Akad nikah vows being exchanged between the
father of the bride and the groom.

Witnessing from the side.

The doa, after everything was over.

Iki reciting the his vows to his new bride.

Relatives from both sides, looking on.

Lovely mosque.

Performing solat before putting on the rings.

Kids in attendance.

Ali Zulkarnain and dad.

Zaim and Ashraf.

Putting on the wedding ring.

Awww, sweet...

First pose as a married couple.

Meeting the in-laws.

While everybody else were engrossed watching the celebrated couple,
Zaim was happy doing his own thing.

Wanie - had to ask her for a full length shot in her lovely dress.
Isn't it a beauty??

The pretty bride, a little closer.

Nayli and her twin cousins, Isya and Ika.
(Nope, still cannot tell which is which, sorry girls).

Wanie.

After everything was over at the mosque, we moved on to the bride's house for
a lovely chicken rice meal at 4 p.m in a really heavy downpour!!!

Hanny (Jack's cousin) and Sheila (Hanny's sis in-law).

Can you just see the heavy rain at the end of the tent?

Zaim, happy and full I guess after his meal.

Me and mynamesake, and adorable little Ali Zul
(well perhaps not so little, at 3 months!).

Iki's parents and his father in law.

Iki, Atehs & Wanie.

Bride and groom, Groom's parents and their grandchildren.
Counting on the both of you(Iki and Wanie that is) to add to these lot!

See ya tomorrow for the reception, same place...
