PD part 3... day 2.

Starting with breakfast. This happens to be our favourite meal of the day. We were hoping for a huge wonderful spread of any 5 star restaurant should normally offer. However, we were quite dissapointed by this particular restaurant's breakfast buffet. There were the western and local dishes theme, but they weren't impressive enough. Luckily they had the egg station that serves your choice of egg dishes. The hash brown were not very good and for the 1st breakfast that we had, there were no baked beans. How can you not have beans when you are having omelette, even green peas are ok.

However, they made up for it, big time at the pastry department. They made fresh pastries daily! So fresh, they even baked them outside at the buffet tables, ha!ha!ha! You cannot get them any fresher than that, can you? And the best part is, since I'm not into those sweet Danish thingy, they had croissants. Imagine fresh warm croissants for breakfast! Yummmmm!!!! Lovely! I had loads of these, and I truly forgave them for the crap breakfast spread altogether just for this fresh croissants factor.

Enjoying our 1st breakfast at Thistle.

They even had a special section for kiddies, complete with IKEA's cutleries and plates.

Preparing themselves for a long day ahead.

After breakfast, we made a quick dash to our room to change and it's straight to the beach! This is Zaim's 1st experience at the beach, in March when we were in Langkawi, he was not even walking yet to be let out at the beach. However, he was like duck to water, so very at home and comfortable. He wasn't even icky with the sand and sea water at all.

Kids and me.

Mucky and dirty already, from head to toe!!!

With Papa.

This is the path from the beach to the hotel, pool area.

More trees around the area.

Jet skiing... had to pass since we couldn't abandon the kids! Sigh!

Zaim had to be showered half way through cause he had too much sand all over his face, he was probably even drinking the sea water without my noticing!

Everything is good fun for this boy!

Back at the beach with his abang and kakak.

Dig dig dig... oh my hand, where has it gone to?

What else can I do here???

What is he doing?

I told you he licks and sips the sea water! Eeewww Zaim!

Kayaks for rent.

Tired of the sand and sea, we moved over to the pool. The pool area was packed!!

We didn't bring Zaim into the pool straight away, because there were just too many people!

He needed a milk break. Having his milk while checking out the commotion at the pool.

Soon after that we showered him and changed him, Zaim seemed ok, he must be tired already after about 3-4 hours of non-stop "excitement".

Quick lunch break by the poolside, had to have something before the actual lunch time.

After everybody has showered and changed, we were finally ready to go out and look for something to eat. Zaim by then has had another bottle of milk and has already fallen asleep.

Waiting for our meal.

Bangi Kopitiam in Port Dickson.

Nayli's noodle, looks rather bland and boring but actually was quite tasty and nice.

Zaim still snoozing away.

Nayli and me.

Quick stop at the local supermarket before heading back for a little nap - for everyone else that is, except me since Zaim has had his sleep and is full of energy. Dinner that night just like the previous night was in the hotel again, since we couldn't find any suitable place to eat outside, the night before. We gave up searching and tried the Glass Restaurant which serves Italian Dishes.

Dinner was quite late, Zaim was sleepy already by then just look at his sleepy eyes. Luckily had this leftover raisins to keep him awake until our food arrived.

Finally my lasagne came.

Pizza and Calamari for the kids.

Haagen Daz Banana Split, which doesn't taste like Haagen Daz at all!!! The kids didn't have any problem with it though. That's the end of day 2, more pictures from day 3 in my next update next week. Have a good weekend!
